Kiosk is built around the same governance principles as the rest of RapidReg — role-aware access, auditable changes and safe offline storage.
Local data stays encrypted at rest on the station, with recovery checkpoints and an emergency export if a device needs replacing mid-event.
Every registration, edit, print and retry is logged with an operator and outcome — nothing happens silently.
Access to supervisor controls (refunds, overrides, exports) is role-gated, separate from the standard check-in operator view.
